Grants from the NHOC help defray expenses for supplies, equipment, and emergency training. Past grants have supported items such as two-way radios for the Hanover area, new backcountry litters for the Franconia Notch, Randolph and Mount Washington areas, headlamps and splints for the Mount Washington Summit Rescue Cache, and avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes for winter rescues in the Presidential Range.
